UFOs in Texas
It's (somewhat) amazing to me how the residents of Stephenville, TX have made a big deal over UFO sightings. This news story shows images of the many billboards advertising to the aliens.

new blog (oh, and love the desk)
I started a new blog! I feel confident in my ability to continually produce content in this subject area: my misunderstanding of all things Minnesotan.
And the desk de-cluttering post is fabulous. My life is infinitely better for it and I highly recommend it to anyone who has a screwdriver and a vice grip.

post secret on msnbc
I had no idea Post Secret had become so popular until Laurie told me they're rated as the number one blog in some competition and now I see MSNBC has done some press on them. I think that's pretty amazing.
I've always loved this idea of creative mail. Hugo, Laurie and I have thought about creating a mail in art system via blogging. Pretty impressive how far this one guy has come with his one little idea.

Isn't this a morph?
This image was on nytmes.com and I'd been wondering how it was taken when I saw an explanation for it. So simple.
Update: About the Photograph
Many readers have commented on the stunning image by Nicole Bengiveno in this post, so we asked her to explain how she got the shot. Her answer:
I went to a kitchen supply store and found a clear plastic measuring container large enough to fit my camera. I laid down at the edge of the pool with the pre-focused camera inside the container, reaching down and firing as the camera was bobbing up and down in the water. It was a makeshift thing. It’s part of the fun for me — figuring out ways to shoot something different.
