The cookie photographer
I was in Ueno Park in Tokyo in May when a woman approached our group of architecture students. We were standing near a museum, chatting and waiting for some people to meet us. She approached very gently, with a kind smile and friendly demeanor. Showed us a few sample photographs on her camera and asked if any of us would be willing to let her make our portraits with one of her cookies. Two of my classmates and I volunteered. You can see MIKITAKAHIRA WEB and her cookie project here.
These are my portraits:

The photo button on my cell phone is sensitive and goes off when it's confined within a bag or pocket. Usually, the result is a black image. Yesterday, it went off while inside a mesh pocket on my bag. The result is this. I think that's my silhouette or shadow? I sure do like it.

This is a painting!
David M. Lenz is the First prize winner Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition 2006, National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian institution.
This portrait, Sam and the Perfect World looked like a photograph until I got my nose right up next to the monitor. It is stunning.

I wonder why he had the model puff his cheek out.

I wish I could do that
This guy asks strangers if he can take their photo. Some are great. I dream of being so bold.

pinhole outside
The pinhole camera works better outside. I think my pinhole is ever so slightly off center. The bottom left corner seems to be consistently vignetted out.
